About us

St. David's Georgetown Hospital, part of St. David's HealthCare, is a 118-bed facility offering a range of services, including a 24-hour emergency department with a Level IV Trauma Center; Certified Primary Stroke Center; cardiac catheterization and imaging; advanced endoscopy and bronchoscopy; inpatient and outpatient surgery including robotics; advanced pulmonary intervention; critical care capabilities; acute inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation; orthopedics and joint replacement; and maternity and newborn services with mother-baby couplet care close to home.

    Medical Staff Leadership is composed of volunteer members of the medical staff who are elected by their peers to serve two-year terms.

    Credentialing

    St. David’s Medical Center is comprised of three main campuses including St. David’s Medical Center and Rehabilitation Hospital, St. David’s Georgetown Hospital and Heart Hospital of Austin.

    Because we are licensed as one hospital – St. David’s Medical Center, once you are approved for privileges, your affiliation includes all three of our campus locations and ambulatory sites.

    IMPORTANT: For management of your credentialing and privileging, we encourage you to choose the campus that you plan to primarily practice at as your primary facility. This will help us manage your credentialing application appropriate to the facility that you will most likely practice at most.
