Welcome to medical staff support services

As one of the area's leading providers, we understand the increasing costs of delivering high-quality healthcare. We work to keep costs down yet provide the very best support to you and our patients. To that end, we draw on the resources of our network's expertise, shared strengths, and best practices for quality outcomes.

Health information technology

St. David's HealthCare stays on the leading edge of technology innovations not just clinically but also concerning documentation and patient information. Our goals are to increase knowledge, access and share data efficiently with other medical specialists and, ultimately, improve the quality of our care.

Meditech is an integrated healthcare information system. As healthcare providers, you'll have direct access to the latest accurate patient information, including:

  • Abnormal test results
  • Adverse events
  • Drug interactions
  • Lab results
  • Medications
  • Possible reactions
  • Radiology reports
  • Vital statistics

You can also electronically sign your dictated reports without visiting our hospitals' medical records departments.

Picture archive communication system (PACS)

PACS is progressive technology that digitally stores and transmits a patient's medical image to any hospital connected to our market's system. You'll have access to patient information at your home or office with a secure website and high-speed internet. These digital images are cleaner and sharper; you can enlarge images with greater clarity.

Benefits experienced with the market-based implementation of PACS include:

  • Faster clinical decision-making
  • Direct availability of critical prior and comparison studies
  • Improved response time for reporting studies
  • Increased physician satisfaction via the easy availability of images
  • Instant image accessibility in hospitals, physicians' offices and homes permits specialists and radiologists to collaborate on patient cases

Muse is an online critical care monitoring system that permits physicians to observe electrocardiograms (EKGs) and submit electronic signatures.
