St. David's HealthCare hospitals among best in adult rehabilitation
AUSTIN, TEXAS — Two St. David's HealthCare facilities have been ranked among U.S. News & World Report's 2021-22 Best Hospitals. St. David's Medical Center, including St. David's Rehabilitation Hospital, and St. David's North Austin Medical Center were identified among the best in the nation for rehabilitation. U.S. News evaluated 1,083 hospitals and ranked the top 50 for their care of patients recovering from events such as stroke, traumatic brain injuries and severe burns.

The annual Best Hospitals rankings and ratings, now in their 32nd year, are designed to assist patients and their doctors in making informed decisions about where to receive care for challenging health conditions or for common elective procedures.
For 2021-22 rankings and ratings, U.S. News evaluated more than 4,750 medical centers nationwide in 15 specialties, including rehabilitation.

The U.S. News Best Hospitals methodologies in most areas of care are based largely on objective measures, such as risk-adjusted survival and discharge-to-home rates, volume, and quality of nursing, among other care-related indicators.
