St. Davids HealthCare announces regional vice president of oncology services
St. David's HealthCare appointed Raymond Jackson as regional vice president of oncology services, effective August 14, 2023.
Austin, Texas — St. David’s HealthCare has named Raymond Jackson as regional vice president of oncology services. He assumed his role on Aug. 14, 2023.
Jackson previously served as regional vice president of oncology services for St. David’s HealthCare from 2015 to 2018. During this time, he supported the implementation of numerous initiatives and programs by working collaboratively with hospital and physician leadership to improve and expand oncology services.
“This is an exciting opportunity for Raymond because of his previous success in cancer program development in Austin,” David Huffstutler, president and chief executive officer of St. David's HealthCare, said. “I am confident he will help us continue to grow our oncology service line and advance our mission of providing exceptional patient care.”
Prior to returning to St. David’s HealthCare, Jackson served as regional vice president of oncology for the Sarah Cannon Cancer Institute’s South Atlantic Division. In this role, he worked closely with the team at Memorial Health University Medical Center―a 612-bed academic medical center that serves a 35-county area in southeast Georgia and southern South Carolina―to further develop their oncology services. Subsequent to this, Jackson transitioned to Sarah Cannon’s San Antonio Division as regional vice president of oncology, where he assisted in developing a number of clinical programmatic enhancements, including the infrastructure for the bone marrow transplant program, a new postsurgical care process for complex surgeries and an outpatient Oncology Rehabilitation Center.
Jackson earned his bachelor’s degree in health sciences from Old Dominion University in Athens, Georgia, and his master’s degree in business administration from the University of Mary in Bismarck, North Dakota.
