About St. David's South Austin Medical Center

Our hospital, which is part of St. David’s HealthCare, offers a range of complex specialties and subspecialties, including a nationally accredited oncology program with the area’s only adult Transplant and Cellular Therapy Program.

More about our facility

Our hospital, which is part of St. David’s HealthCare, is an acute care facility. We offer advanced trauma care with a Level II Trauma Center, comprehensive cardiac, stroke and orthopedic programs, full-service maternity and newborn care, and two full-service emergency centers in the communities of Bee Cave and Bastrop.

Our hospital is affiliated with the Texas Institute for Robotic Surgery and offers advanced robot-assisted procedures for orthopedics, open-heart and lung surgery, complex GI surgery, surgical oncology, general surgery, colorectal surgery and urology.

It was also one of the first hospitals in Central Texas to combine the use of computerized tomography (CT) imaging and robotics to precisely detect early stage lung cancer.

The Texas Award for Performance Excellence is the highest honor bestowed by the State of Texas based upon world class quality measures. Further, 2008 marks the first time ever that an entire multi-hospital health care system has received this coveted award.
