Dr. Roger Gammon is originally from Drexel, Missouri. He received his Bachelor’s and Medical Degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine. Dr. Gammon began eight years of postgraduate training with an Internal Medicine residency at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas where he was chosen Chief Resident. This was followed by a fellowship in Interventional Cardiology at Duke University Medical Center. Dr. Gammon enjoys being on the cutting edge of research and technology, while applying it in an individualized and personal manner to his patients. Dr. Gammon is Director of Research at Austin Heart.  In that capacity he has been Principal Investigator on over 100 studies with a particular interest in stem cell studies.  Dr. Gammon also enjoys teaching and has given hundreds of invited lectures and published over 50 articles or textbook chapters.  He is triple board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, and Interventional Cardiology.  He began practice in Austin, Texas in 1992.
