St. David’s HealthCare Opens Leander Emergency Center

St. David’s Emergency Center in Leander – an extension of St. David’s Round Rock Medical Center – opened its doors in January. The 11,200-square-foot emergency center is the first phase of a broader project that will include a medical office building and a community hospital.

“St. David’s Round Rock Medical Center is pleased to bring comprehensive emergency care to the Leander community,” Jeremy Barclay, CEO of St. David’s Round Rock Medical Center, said. “We look forward to expanding access to high-quality medical care for one of the fastest growing cities in our country.”

The new St. David’s HealthCare facility features 12 treatment beds and advanced testing capabilities including radiological testing and a medical lab. Like all St. David’s Emergency Centers, the Leander site is a 24/7 operation and is staffed by board-certified emergency medicine physicians affiliated with St. David’s HealthCare, as well as nurses who are trained in emergency care.
