In recognition of National Nurses Week—May 6th through 12th—we thank all nurses for their compassion and commitment. A nurse is there in life’s most difficult moments and happiest of celebrations—leaving a lasting impact.
This celebration coincides with the birthday of Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern nursing. As part of the Florence Nightingale Pledge, nurses make a commitment to maintain and elevate the standard of the nursing profession, to loyally aid physicians in their work, and to be devoted to the welfare of those committed to their care.
St. David’s HealthCare commends all nurses who embody this pledge. Nurses play an essential role in improving patient outcomes, increasing access to care, coordinating care and reducing healthcare costs.
Our nurses, and all our employees, are a constant reminder that the best is here, at St. David’s HealthCare. With that in mind, we recently created a public awareness campaign called just that, “The Best is Here.” This campaign reflects on the many great things we all appreciate about living in Central Texas—from world-class universities and celebrated food establishments to best-in-world custom cycles and legendary boot makers—and connects those things, which are by many measures among the best in the world, to the exceptional care provided at St. David’s HealthCare.
St. David’s HealthCare recently produced a video to celebrate nurses.
