Several St. David’s HealthCare facilities recently received recognition for their outstanding performance. Healthgrades and Truven Health Analytics both named St. David’s HealthCare facilities to their Top 100 rankings, while the Georgetown Chamber of Commerce recognized St. David’s Georgetown Hospital as the 2015 Large Employer of the Year.
For the seventh consecutive year, St. David’s Medical Center—including the Heart Hospital of Austin and St. David’s Georgetown Hospital campuses—has been named among the nation’s 100 Top Hospitals by Truven Health Analytics. Additionally, Healthgrades, the leading online resource for comprehensive information about physicians and hospitals, recognized St. David’s Medical Center—including Heart Hospital of Austin and St. David’s Georgetown Hospital—with the 2016 America’s 100 Best Hospitals Award. These facilities are among the top 2 percent of more than 4,500 hospitals nationwide for their consistent, year-over-year superior clinical performance as measured by Healthgrades. St. David’s Medical Center is the only hospital in the Austin area—and one of only three hospitals in Texas—to earn this award for two consecutive years.
In February, the Georgetown Chamber of Commerce named St. David’s Georgetown Hospital the 2015 Large Employer of the Year. A leader in healthcare, St. David’s Georgetown Hospital is committed to providing exceptional care to the residents of Williamson County, and it is recognized as a major employer in Georgetown, employing approximately 500 employees. The hospital earned the award by meeting the Chamber’s criteria, including participating in Chamber activities, economically supporting the Georgetown business community, and remaining active in community and civic involvement.
In keeping up with the tremendous growth and healthcare needs in Williamson County, St. David’s Georgetown Hospital will open an expanded intensive care unit (ICU), introduce a new magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) unit and begin renovations in its emergency department this year.
These recognitions are the result of our ongoing focus on the St. David’s HealthCare mission—to provide exceptional care to every patient every day. We set a high bar for our organization as we work to differentiate ourselves from other nationally and internationally recognized hospital brands, and we are seeing the results.
