AUSTIN, TEXAS—On August 4, 2017, Andrea Natale, M.D., F.H.R.S., F.A.C.C., F.E.S.C., cardiac electrophysiologist and executive medical director of the Texas Cardiac Arrhythmia Institute at St. David’s Medical Center, was honored with the 2017 Eric N. Prystowsky Advocate for Patients Award during the 2017 Get In Rhythm. Stay In Rhythm.™ Atrial Fibrillation Patient Conference in Dallas, Texas.
The award recognizes a clinician who has demonstrated outstanding service to and contributions for the benefit of Atrial Fibrillation (A Fib) patients and their families. Most importantly, patients nominate and vote for the physician whom they consider the best advocate for their cause. Dr. Natale was the first recipient of this award after it was renamed in honor of Dr. Prystowsky last year.
“This award is a testament to Dr. Natale’s excellence in patient care, as well as his commitment to promoting electrophysiology research centered solely on the interests of the patients,” Don Wilkerson, chief executive officer of St. David’s Medical Center, said. “It underscores the longstanding impact he has on the lives of patients from around the world.”
The 2017 Get In Rhythm. Stay In Rhythm. Atrial Fibrillation Patient Conference is hosted by StopAfib.org, a patient-to-patient resource designed to provide information about A Fib.
