With Chest Pain Centers at each facility, we can more rapidly assess and treat patients suffering from a cardiac emergency.
We also have a JCAHO-certified Primary Stroke Center at St. David's Medical Center, providing around-the-clock call coverage by neurologists and neurosurgeons, a dedicated unit for stroke patients with specially trained nursing and support staff, and quick access to labs, medications, and CT and MRI scans.
St. David's HealthCare offers expedited ER services for the treatment of less serious injuries and illnesses during peak hours, adding greater convenience to our emergency care. We also have four Urgent Care Clinics, in Round Rock, Pflugerville, Circle C and Kyle, for injuries or illnesses that require immediate attention, but not necessarily all the resources provided by a hospital emergency room.
